Forever 21 (but kinda sorta not): Six staples of my teenage years that make me feel old
Confession: I had a conversation this week in which I called a Redbox movie rental kiosk—you know, the ones that have been around for ten years and are at every 7-11, Walgreens, CVS, etc.—”the Redbox,” and acted as if it were some space-age novelty. As in “Yeah, we rented it from the Redbox!…

Slaughterhouse vs. That Guy Soda
For all of you that don’t know That Guy Soda came out with a song a while back from his mixtape The First Impression called ROML(Rhythm of my life). Here is a link to the video: ROML [Follow @thatguysoda]
Recently Slaughterhouse came out with a song entitled My Life Feat. Cee-lo Green. Link to song here: ML.
Both songs sample Rhythm of the Night by Corona. (LISTEN). Interesting song to choose, super crazy upbeat dance while you’re dropping acid or high off E. But I digress.
I wonder if there were just two groups of people that happen to think similarly in regards of sampling this song, or did someone jack someone’s swag…. who really knows.
I personally enjoy ROML by That Guy Soda, but I’m a Slaughterhouse fan too and plenty of people thing of the same ideas at the same time.
Ex: the light bulb, Thomas Jefferson & Joseph Swan came out with it around the same period in different areas. Coincidences happen everyday.
So listen to the songs and write back if you like one song over the other. Do you think Slaughterhouse copied the sample idea or anything else related to the topic, you can even ask about light bulbs if that’s important to you.
Chao Bellas x.
